Executive Experience:

Dr. Nahila Ayeva, Public Health Consultant, and CEO of AYEVA CONSULTING has over 2 decades of experience working in the public health sector, with a BS in Community and School Health Education with a minor in Psychology, and a master’s degree in Public Health Education and Promotion from the City University of New York. Nahila has also been awarded an honorary doctorate in recognition of her outstanding humanitarian and philanthropic interventions in marginalized communities in the United States and across the globe.

Nahila has gained extensive experience in community outreach, education, program planning, implementation, evaluation, policy analysis, surveillance, epidemiology, prevention, and community health care services. She is passionate about advancing health equity and using her skills and knowledge to promote and improve the health of vulnerable populations worldwide.

In her previous role at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), she was responsible for providing analytical and technical support to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Center for Environmental Health, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry- ATSDR at their Head Quarter here in Atlanta Georgia. Nahila also led numerous health initiatives of the New York State Department of Health, offering her expertise in Maternal and Child Health Promotions, emphasizing proper nutrition and STDs/HIV prevention in forestalling Infant and Maternal Morbidity and Mortality.

To support the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal (SDG#6, (Clean Water for All), Nahila has been empowering indigenous women with access to clean drinking water in rural Africa by drilling solar-powered water wells. Thus decreasing the incidence and prevalence of water-borne diseases such as Cholera, Dysentery, Trachoma, Hepatitis A, and Typhoid, in Dankpen Prefecture, West Africa Togo, and Maina Bindi, rural Nigeria. These projects are done through Womens Health First, a Nonprofit Organization that she founded and incorporated in the State of Georgia, USA in 2020.

In addition, Nahila is multilingual with the ability to speak French, English, Hausa, Mina, Ewe, and Kotokoli, fluently. This affords her the ability to work and build relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

Nahila is a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the principles of public health promotion with an equity lens focus and a proven track record of success in all her projects.
